What is matter?
| Answer | Matter is anything that has mass and takes up space. If it occupies space and you could, in principle, measure its mass, it’s matter. WHY IT MATTERS: Everything you inspect or service on an aircraft is made of matter, including fluids and gases. AIRCRAFT EXAMPLE: Hydraulic fluid in an A320 is matter even though it flows and takes container shape. MEMORY AID: MSM: Mass + Space = Matter. EASA TIP: Level 1 exams often start with simple definitions. |
