What is matter?

Answer	Matter is anything that has mass and takes up space. If it occupies space and you could, in principle, measure its mass, it’s matter. WHY IT MATTERS: Everything you inspect or service on an aircraft is made of matter, including fluids and gases. AIRCRAFT EXAMPLE: Hydraulic fluid in an A320 is matter even though it flows and takes container shape. MEMORY AID: MSM: Mass + Space = Matter. EASA TIP: Level 1 exams often start with simple definitions.
